An Annual Meeting is held each summer. The DLIA Executive Board meets at least twice a year.
The 2022 Annual Meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 22, at the Gates Lecture Hall on the UMBS Campus.
Registration begins at 6:00pm. The business meeting begins at 7pm.
Our Guest Speaker is Dr. Aimée Classen, Director, UMBS, and Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Dr. Classen is concluding her first summer in residence at the Bio Station. She will share with us her vision of education, research and public outreach with Douglas Lake community.
The business meeting will include a status report about the replacement of the Douglas Lake Boat Launch, selected committee reports, and election of new officers for terms beginning at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting.
The Nominating Committee, with the endorsement of the Executive Board, presents the following slate of officers for membership approval: President – Ron Witthoff; Vice President – Scott Davis; Secretary – Linda Woolcott. This would be the first term for each of the nominated officers. Nominations for these offices also will be accepted from the floor.
Kelly Davis, Merchandise Chair, will have 2023 Douglas Lake calendars and our own publication by Holly Gedert, “The Loons of Maple Bay,” available for sale.
If you cannot attend the meeting, please participate by completing a Proxy form for the Officers’ election and give it to your zone rep or a neighbor who will be attending the meeting on August 22nd. Click on link for the 2022 DLIA Proxy Form.
Please register at 6:00 and catch up with friends before the meeting. The business meeting will begin at 7pm.
